Rock fans can look forward to three days of classic hits when the Faro Tribute Fest returns to the Algarve at the end of July, bringing tribute acts celebrating some of the biggest names in rock music – all with free admission.
The festival will take place from July 31 to August 2 at the Parque de Lazer das Figuras, next to Forum Algarve, transforming the venue into an open-air celebration of rock, metal and punk.
This year’s line-up features tribute bands dedicated to AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Ramones and Creed, performing many of the legendary acts’ best-known songs.
The event opens on Friday, July 31, with a rock ‘n’ roll dance performance by You Can Dance Girls, followed by a tribute to the Ramones at 9.30pm and Ozzy Osbourne at 11.30pm.
On Saturday, August 1, the spotlight turns to Creed at 9pm before an Iron Maiden tribute takes to the stage at 11pm.
The festival concludes on Sunday, August 2, with performances by Urban Xpression and the Panteras Country Dance Company, before an AC/DC tribute closes the event at 8.30pm.
Alongside the live music, visitors can enjoy a street food area, craft stalls showcasing local artisans and entertainment designed for the whole family.
The event is organised by Americancars Algarve.
