Tavira will once again become a showcase for Portuguese wine as Os Dias do Vinho returns for its seventh edition from July 10 to 13.
Held in the Jardim do Coreto as part of the town’s Verão em Tavira summer programme, the festival will bring together 40 wine producers representing some of Portugal’s best-known wine regions, alongside stalls serving traditional delicacies and regional sweets.
The event opens daily at 6pm and runs until midnight, except on the final day, 13 July, when it will close at 11pm.
Visitors will be able to taste and purchase a wide selection of Portuguese wines, including whites, rosés, reds, sparkling wines and fortified wines, while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of one of Tavira’s most picturesque gardens.
Entry costs €15 and includes a Schott Zwiesel tasting glass, allowing guests to sample wines throughout the event.
Organisers say the festival aims to celebrate Portugal’s wine heritage while showcasing the flavours of the country’s vineyards in a convivial open-air setting, with sunset tastings expected to be one of the highlights.
The event is organised by the Associação Cegos por Provas in partnership with Tavira Municipality, continuing a collaboration that has helped establish the festival as one of the Algarve’s annual summer wine events.
Blending wine, gastronomy and the charm of Tavira’s historic centre, the festival invites residents and visitors alike to discover producers from across the country while enjoying local cuisine and warm summer evenings in the eastern Algarve.
