Matthew Caruana Galizia, the son of murdered journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, has thanked reporters providing daily coverage of the ongoing trial, urging the public to support their work.

In a post shared on social media, he praised journalists for keeping the public informed throughout the proceedings.

“During the trial I’m so grateful for journalists who are giving you daily coverage FOR FREE. They deserve so much support. The alternative is that you get no or bad information.”

His comments come as journalists from several local and international newsrooms continue providing extensive, day-by-day reporting from the courtroom, where the trial is hearing evidence related to the 2017 assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia.
