The religious sector held the first two days of the protest at the People Power Monument along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue in Quezon City. The location was transferred to the Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila following the Quezon City LGU’s revocation of their permit to hold a rally at the monument.
As it mounted a surprise rally at the monument last Tuesday, the INC said it was to express support for Senator Rodante Marcoleta as he is facing imminent plunder charges by the Office of the Ombudsman.

The religious sector slammed what it described as the “selective justice” and “distortion of law” in Marcoleta’s case, which stemmed from his non-declaration of P75 million campaign contributions he received from three donors, including former Rep. Mike Defensor.
Meanwhile, the Manila Police District said that approximately 4,400 attendees gathered at the Liwasang Bonifacio for the third day of the rally as of 6 p.m. /jpv
