Kourtney Kardashian, Travis Barker Share They Experienced a Miscarriage Before Welcoming Rocky
Kourtney Kardashian’s sweet keepsake will strike a chord.
Over three years after the Lemme founder shared she was pregnant with her and Travis Barker’s first child together with a sign at one of his Blink-182 concerts, she revealed she preserved the announcement in a frame in their home.
The sign, which reads, “Travis I’m pregnant” in big black letters, now hangs in a black frame in her and Barker’s home, as Kardashian revealed in a July 1 Instagram Story. Under the memorabilia, she simply wrote, “The sign.”
Kardashian brandished the sign on June 16, 2023, during one of Barker’s concerts in Los Angeles—recreating a scene from Blink-182’s 2009 music video for “All The Small Things.”
Five months later, she gave birth to their son Rocky Thirteen Barker. The little boy, now 2, joined a large, blended family; between them, the pair coparent Kardashian’s kids Mason Disick, 16, Penelope Disick, 13, and Reign Disick, 11, whom she shares with ex Scott Disick, as well as Barker’s kids Atiana De La Hoya, 27, Landon Barker, 22, and Alabama Barker, 20, with ex Shanna Moakler.
But welcoming Rocky was not an easy path for Kardashian and Barker, who were friends for years before their relationship turned romantic and they eventually tied the knot in 2022.
In fact, the couple recently shared that they experienced a miscarriage after Kardashian got pregnant in 2021, early on in their relationship. At the time, the pair were expecting a baby girl, and had planned to name her Tulip, however at their three-month appointment the doctor told them the baby no longer had a heartbeat.

“When we lost the baby, we were devastated,” Kardashian said in the Barker’s upcoming documentary Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear, which releases on Hulu August 13. “We cried for days.”
Though the documentary is the first time the couple have shared their pregnancy loss, the Kardashians star had been candid about her fertility journey over the years—including how she finally got pregnant.
"I got pregnant 100% naturally, NOT through IVF…one year after stopping IVF actually,” she wrote on an Instagram Story in 2024. “I stopped after a year of trying (5 failed IVF cycles, 3 retrievals) my body relaxed and I believed in God's plan for my life.”
She continued, “Lots of prayers for whatever was meant to be for us. Also lots of optimizing my health. I know how hard it is to feel like you're not trying, but believing in God's plan and saying your prayers is so powerful. All the best.”
