‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Is Getting a Sequel: What You Need to Know
Together, Arden Cho and Christopher Lee are glowing.
The KPop Demon Hunters star and orthopedic surgeon got married at Villa Cora in Florence, Italy over the weekend of June 27. Throughout the wedding festivities, the couple nodded to their Korean heritage, hosting a hanbok welcome party and a traditional pyebaek ceremony, which honors the groom’s parents.
Revealing that their celebration was planned in just two months, Cho explained that she wanted to bring all of her loved ones to the “magical place” where the couple decided on forever.
“We fell in love with Florence and wanted the weekend to feel like a beautiful vacation where everyone could slow down, celebrate, and make memories together,” she told Vogue. “Italy is special to us, not only because of the food and culture, but because this is where I decided he was my person.”
Yet, the weekend didn’t start out so golden, as the Teen Wolf alum explained that they came up against numerous travel issues on their way to Italy.
“Looking back, it’s incredible how many obstacles arose before the celebrations even began,” she continued. “Our airline misplaced all four of our checked bags on the way to Florence—including my husband’s custom tuxedo, our hanboks, and the traditional attire for our Korean pyebaek ceremony. I remember sitting there in tears thinking our wedding weekend was already falling apart.”
Even their guests had trouble getting to the destination wedding, with Lee’s family getting their flights cancelled at the last minute. Luckily, everyone was able to make the festivities, including the main ceremony where Cho wore a custom Vera Wang dress.

In fact, the Chicago Med actress had four bridal looks in all, including the Vera Wang gown, a MeeHee hanbok for the welcome party, a Eden Aharon dress with a sculpted corset for the reception and a Natalya Valentine minidress for the after-party.
Despite the roadblocks leading up to the wedding, Cho took all of the obstacles as blessings.
“In Korean, there’s a saying, [aekttaemhaetda], which roughly means that a small hardship spares you from a much bigger one,” she said. “That’s exactly how we choose to remember our wedding weekend.”
