Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has assured that his administration will complete the ongoing reconstruction of Ejigbo-Iwo Road and commence work immediately on the newly approved health centre for the community.
The governor gave the assurance in Ejigbo on Thursday, where three projects executed by the government were formally inaugurated by the Ogiyan of Ejigbo, Oba Omowonuola Oyeyode.
In a statement signed by Adeleke’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the governor, who noted Ogiyan’s support for his administration, promised to continue working for improved infrastructure in communities across the state.
“I assure the people of Ejigbo of the commitment of this administration to complete the Ejigbo-Iwo road and ensure the implementation of newly approved health and other projects.
“I appreciate Kabiyesi, our royal fathers, chiefs, leaders and people of Ejigbo. Your support for my government touches my heart. I will not disappoint you.
“Our administration is touching all corners of Osun. We completed several new projects, and we started and finalised several new ones. Our projects and programmes cover all sectors of governance and society,” Adeleke said.
Earlier, Oba Oyeyode declared support for Adeleke’s second-term bid, declaring that the Ejigbo people will vote massively for the governor on August 15.

“Mr Governor, your deliveries for us met our areas of need. My people appreciate you. On behalf of my people, I assure you of our massive votes.
“Ejigbo sons and daughters will vote massively for the governor’s re-election. My Governor, the good Lord will protect and grant you victory,” he said.
Addressing the gathering, the candidate of Accord for Ede/Ejigbo/Egbedore federal constituency, Mr Bamidele Salam, while welcoming the governor, conveyed the appreciation of Ejigbo people for the many projects completed within the local government area in the last four years.
Salam, who is the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee of the House of Representatives, listed health and school rehabilitation projects completed by the administration, and also itemised those newly approved by the governor.
The PUNCH reports that Adeleke had on Wednesday inaugurated the Lameco flyover in Osogbo, saying the project was of high quality, and that it will ease transportation within the metropolis.
