What Blake Lively Is Up to Amid Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Wedding

Spotted: Blake Lively more than 200 miles away from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding festivities.

As Swift and Kelce's friends and family descended upon Madison Square Garden July 2 for an apparent rehearsal dinner, the Gossip Girl alum and her husband Ryan Reynolds stepped out at a horse show in Lake Placid, N.Y.

Lively wore a blue tank top and denim shorts, while the Deadpool star—with whom she shares kids James, 11, Inez, 9, Betty, 6, and Olin, 3, rocked a white T-shirt, khakis and a straw hat, as seen in photos published by TMZ.

The outlet reported that the couple were at the equestrian event for their daughter Betty, who placed second in a riding competition.

But Lively's absence at Swift's wedding pre-party does not necessarily mean the two have bad blood. After all, text messages between the pair that were unsealed in court documents from Lively's legal battle with It Ends With Us costar Justin Baldoni showed mad love after a rough patch in their friendship.

"I have no reason to ask, but I donno, I've been feeling like I should... is everything ok?" Lively texted the Grammy winner on Dec. 4, 2024, per the docs. "I felt like a bad friend lately because I was such a sad sack who only talked about my own s--t for months. You were generous to not only be the key person there for me during all of it, but also to let me off the hook for being so in it."

"I felt so stupid and like it sounded needy and awkward for everyone, especially bc [sic] I can't explain why I have this feeling," she continued. "I do want to know everything is good, so I'm asking. I always want the opportunity to be a better friend if there's something I unintentionally did."

Though Swift—who at the time was just days away from wrapping up her Eras Tour—told Lively that she was "not wrong," the "Blank Space" singer also emphasized that the situation was "also not a big deal."

"I think I'm just exhausted in every avenue of my life and in recent months had been feeling a little bit of a shift in the way you talk to me," Swift wrote to Lively. "It's more like... and I feel really bad saying anything about this because your texts have been so nice in their intent but your last few... it's felt like I was reading a mass corporate email sent to 200 employees."

She added, "It feels awful to be in any way critical of any way you process what you've been going through but I just kinda miss my funny, dark, normal-speaking friend who talks to me as herself."

It was a comment Lively took to heart, with the A Simple Favor actress jokingly writng back, "Thank you for your feedback. We at headquarters are reviewing your concerns and will get back to you in a timely manner."

"So thank you for telling me and for saying I don't need to apologize and for not making it a big deal," Lively added. "But I am sorry. To you."
