A former Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Philip Aduda, has said his hometown, Karu, has been transformed into a modern city following infrastructural interventions by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
Aduda, who is also the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for the FCT in the 2027 election, stated this in a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists in Abuja on Thursday.
He said the improved road infrastructure and renewed urban development had ushered in a new era of growth, accessibility and economic opportunities for residents of Karu.
According to him, the commissioning of the rehabilitated and expanded Karu Interchange–Customs Clinic Junction Road, alongside adjoining roads, represents a significant investment in the lives of the people.
“I sincerely thank the Honourable Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, for this remarkable intervention in my hometown, Karu. The project is a significant investment in the lives of our people, easing transportation, stimulating economic activities and enhancing the overall quality of life,” he said.
He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the FCT minister for the ongoing infrastructural development across the territory, saying the projects would continue to positively impact the lives of the people of Karu and its environs.
Aduda further commended Vice President Kashim Shettima for representing President Tinubu at the commissioning of the road project.
“On behalf of the good people of Karu, I express our heartfelt appreciation for this visionary leadership and commitment to the development of our community. Together, we will continue to support initiatives that deliver lasting progress and shared prosperity, “ the statement concluded.
