Thirty-two-year-old Salami Moshood has been arraigned before a Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over alleged malicious damage to properties in Ado-Ekiti.
Inspector Sodiq Adeniyi, told the court that the defendant on July 1, 2026, at about 12.56am at D2 Blue House Basiri Ado-Ekiti, did break into the residence of Olusola Aderemi, to commit felony to wit.
The defendant maliciously damaged 2 windows valued at N20,000, the front door made of glass and the office window valued at N35,000, all property of Olusola Aderemi.
Inspector Adeniyi said the defendant, on the same date, time and place, did break into the office of Lawrence Adetunji Fasanmi, to commit felony, and broke all the glasses and the windscreen of a Mazda 323F car valued at N265,000:00, property of Abiodun Rotimi, and also broke all the glasses and the windscreen of a Renault Sienna Car valued at N80,000, property of Olasunkanmi Babalola.
The prosecutor pointed out that the offence committed is contrary to and punishable under Section 322(a)(c), 354(1), 324(1)(2) of the Criminal Laws of EKiti State, Nigeria 2021.
Counsel to the defendant, Barrister E. O. Olowolafe, urged the court to admit his client to bail, stating that he would not jump bail.
The Chief Magistrate, D. M. Babalogbon, granted bail of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.
The case was adjourned until July 31, 2026 for hearing.
