LEGAZPI CITY — The international expedition cruise ship MV Heritage Adventurer returned to Caramoan, Camarines Sur, for its second visit, bringing 115 foreign tourists for adventure activities.
The passengers were from New Zealand, Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Russia and other countries. A 20-member expedition team accompanied the tourists.
Department of Tourism Bicol Director Herbie Aguas said the vessel’s return on Wednesday would further boost tourism in Caramoan following its maiden call in June 2025.

“They went kayaking, trekking, swimming and island-hopping around Caramoan’s islands and coastal attractions,” Aguas said.
Camarines Sur Gov. Luis Raymund “Lray” Villafuerte Jr. said the cruise ship’s return reflects sustained international interest in Caramoan and is expected to generate more jobs, livelihood opportunities and business for local communities.
Villafuerte said the provincial government would continue to improve ports, roads, tourism facilities, and visitor services to strengthen the province’s tourism industry.
Caramoan is known for its limestone formations, islands, lagoons and white-sand beaches. The municipality also gained international recognition after serving as the filming location for several international editions of the reality television show Survivor./coa
