Jakarta (ANTARA) - Creative Economy Minister/Head of the Creative Economy Agency Teuku Riefky Harsya said that the Jakarta X Beauty 2026 can strengthen the national beauty industry ecosystem and help it compete in the global market by expanding local brand promotion.
He said in a press statement received here on Friday that Jakarta X Beauty has shown that the beauty industry is one of the creative economy subsectors that continues to grow through creativity, innovation, research, design, and a stronger brand identity.
Local brands, says Teuku, not only gain space to introduce their products during the event, but also have the opportunity to build business networks and expand their chances of entering the international market.
"We hope local heroes can go national and local champions can go global. The enthusiasm reflected in the target of around 120 thousand visitors over the four-day event also shows that Indonesia's beauty industry continues to grow," Teuku said.
He said that Jakarta X Beauty is not only the largest beauty event in Indonesia, but also in the world.
Additionally, CEO of Trans Digital Lifestyle Group and Female Daily Network Putri Tanjung said the event features various innovations, including the participation of 23 new brands, special treatments, and a range of interactive activities during the four-day event.
The event, says Putri, reflects the organizer's commitment to continuing to promote Indonesian brands.
"Jakarta X Beauty is now the biggest beauty event in the world. We hope the event will provide a memorable experience for visitors while encouraging more people to support Indonesian brands," Putri stated.
The exhibition is held from July 2 to 5, 2026, at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC), with at least 400 brands participating, where 70 percent are local brands.
The event features beauty product exhibitions, beauty talks, workshops, educational sessions, and interactive sessions that bring together industry, creators, and the public.
