8 hurt in Olongapo bus-jeepney collision

OLONGAPO CITY — Eight people were injured after a passenger jeepney and a passenger bus collided along the highway in Barangay Old Cabalan on Friday afternoon, July 3.

According to the city’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), emergency responders rushed to the scene and provided medical assistance to the injured.

The Olongapo City Police Office said its Traffic Investigation Unit has yet to release initial findings as the investigation is still ongoing.

Authorities have yet to determine how the collision occurred or identify which vehicle the injured passengers were riding.
