Man kills hospitalized ex-wife and takes his own life

On north Tuscan coast near Lucca

A man in his eighties stabbed his

67-year-old ex-wife to death in a Tuscan coastal hospital and

then jumped to his death from the third-floor window Friday.

She was hospitalized in serious condition at Versilia Hospital,

where he regularly visited her.

The incident occurred this morning in Lido di Camaiore (Lucca)

around 11:45 a.m.

Emergency medical services were unsuccessful. Police responded

to the scene.
