Turkey not selling Aselsan company to the US — authorities

ANKARA, July 3. /TASS/. The Center for Combating Disinformation of the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidential Administration denied claims that Aselsan, one of Turkey's largest defense industry companies, would be sold to the United States.

"Statements are circulating on some social networks and media that the Aselsan business will be sold to an American company. These statements are completely unfounded and do not correspond to reality. The transfer or sale of such a national treasure of strategic importance as Aselsan, one of the key pillars of Turkey's domestic and national defense industry, is not being considered," the center said.

Aselsan is the leader in the Turkish defense industry. It develops and produces radar systems for a wide range of weapons, communication technologies, domestic air defense systems, optical and laser guidance systems, electronic warfare devices, and a wide range of other products for military and civilian sectors.
