It’s almost time for the Silves Beer Fest, an event that every year brings beer lovers together for a celebration of some of the best brews that can be found in Portugal.
Returning from July 14 to 18, the event promises five evenings of craft beer, live music, gastronomy and family entertainment in the heart of the historic Algarve city.
Now established as one of Silves’ flagship summer events, the festival is organised by local football club Silves Futebol Clube, in partnership with Silves Municipal Council and with the support of the Silves Parish Council.
The festival site at the riverside square Praça Al-Mutamid will be open daily from 6pm until 1am, with the official opening scheduled for 7pm on July 14.
Visitors can expect a varied programme of entertainment throughout the five-day event, including tribute and cover bands, ethnic-inspired music, Portuguese popular music, rock performances, comedy acts and DJ sets.
Alongside the entertainment, the Silves Beer Fest will showcase a wide selection of craft beers and food stalls, while a dedicated Fun Zone will offer activities for younger visitors, making the event suitable for families as well as beer enthusiasts.
Admission is free.
