MANILA, Philippines — The southbound lane of East Service Road toward Bicutan, from Arca Boulevard to Narra Street in Parañaque City, will be temporarily closed starting July 18, 2026, for construction works on the North-South Commuter Railway Extension (NSCR Extension) project, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said Friday.
The DOTr said that the temporary traffic rerouting plan will be implemented for the construction of the FTI Station East diaphragm wall for the railway project.

With this, the DOTr said that directional signs and traffic advisories will be installed along affected areas for motorists and commuters.
The NSCR is a 147-kilometer railway project that aims to connect Metro Manila to Pampanga and Laguna, with the north section covering the Malolos-Clark segment set to be operational by 2028. The agency noted that the southern portion will be completed by 2031. /jpv
