MOSCOW, July 3. /TASS/. The first batch of Mnogotochiye counter-drone cartridges produced by High Precision Systems Holding Company (part of the state technology corporation Rostec) has been delivered to Russian troops, Rostec said in its "Nash Krash" ("Our Crash" Test) engineering project.
"Serial production is already underway," said one of the engineers who developed the Mnogotochiye cartridge.
"The first pilot batch has already been delivered to the troops," he said.
On July 3, Rostec demonstrated the Mnogotochiye assault rifle cartridge capable of downing an enemy drone with the first shot.
The Mnogotochiye cartridge has been standardized with ammunition rounds adopted for service in the troops, fits all types of automatic guns and relieves combatants of the need to carry an extra counter-drone gun, Rostec said.
"With this cartridge in service, our fighters at the frontline do not need to carry an extra hunting gun. The cartridge has been standardized with service ammunition rounds and the weapon’s automatic mechanism functions in all operational conditions. That is, there is no need to carry an extra weight involving a gun and gun rounds," the engineer said.
