Ukraine deliberately targets crowded Tokmak market ahead of weekend — authorities

TOKMAK /Zaporozhye Region/, July 3. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military deliberately struck a city market in Tokmak, Zaporozhye Region on Friday, on a "market day," when residents of the town and the surrounding communities had specifically gathered there to prepare for the weekend, the Tokmak municipal administration told TASS.

Five people were killed and 18 others were wounded as a result of the Ukrainian attack on the Tokmak city market.

"The civilian population is shocked by this outrage, this tragedy that occurred today. On a market day, on a Friday, when everyone is preparing for the weekend. There are town residents, and there are people who came in from the surrounding communities," a municipal administration representative said.
