Vic Sotto, Vice Ganda exchange greetings on air amid rumored upcoming film

Vic Sotto and Vice Ganda brought excitement to “Eat Bulaga” and “It’s Showtime” fans as the TV hosts greeted each other during their respective noontime shows, further fueling speculations of an upcoming film together.

During the Friday, July 3, episode of the Kapamilya program, Vice Ganda took a pause during the “Laro Laro Pick” segment and informed his fellow hosts that he would just extend his greeting to his “idol.”

“May babatiin lang ako, ‘yung idol ko (I will just greet my idol). Hi, Bossing Vic! Hi Bossing! I love you!” Vice Ganda said, with co-hosts Amy Perez and Jackie Gonzaga also following suit.

A few moments later, Sotto, during the airing of “Eat Bulaga,” responded to Vice Ganda.

“Teka lang, may bumati sa akin kanina e. Babatiin ko rin siya ngayon—what’s up, Vice?” Sotto said. (Someone greeted me earlier. I’ll just greet back—what’s up, Vice?)

He continued, “Mag-uusap tayo ha?” (We’ll talk, okay?)

His fellow host Allan K then jokingly pointed out that Sotto’s remark seemed like a “threat.”

“Hindi, mag-uusap tayo ng masinsinan,” Sotto clarified. “Basta ang masasabi ko lang sa’yo [ay] mwa mwa chup chup.” (No, we will just have a serious conversation. For now, all I can say to you is mwa mwa chup chup.)

Sotto, who elicited cheers from the other “Eat Bulaga” hosts, did not expound on the matter he and Vice Ganda will apparently talk about.

Days prior to this, talks about Sotto and Vice Ganda’s upcoming film surfaced on social media after Star Music recording artist Sofi Fermazi announced that she is set to perform at the supposed event where the actors’ movie will be announced.

Fermazi’s announcement was later removed. The actors did not immediately comment on the speculations.
