Ryan Bang marked his 35th birthday by providing financial help to rebuild an elementary school severely damaged by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Mindanao in June.
The actor-TV host documented how he celebrated his birthday through a vlog shared on his YouTube channel on Tuesday, June 30.
Bang started his day bonding with his fellow “It’s Showtime” hosts and studio audience. As the day came to an end, he looked back on his journey as a mainstay of the noontime show since 2010.

He then revealed that he had committed to saving P1,000 monthly since he became a regular host, and that he was able to save P190,000. For his birthday, he used the money — along with his P10,000 income from his recent community market — to extend help to those dear to him.

Bang divided the money and gave it to his personal assistant, whose child is set to undergo operation; and to his driver, whose daughter is the TV host’s godchild.
Bang also shared that a part of the amount was given to Mahayahay Elementary School in Davao.
“Napanood ko sa balita ‘yung lindol sa Mindanao. May bumagsak na bubong sa isang elementary school. Nadurog ang puso ko kasi naawa ako sa mga bata,” he said.
The school head then thanked Bang for his generous donation, which was used to rebuild the school’s damaged walls and roofs.
