Taylor Swift Marries Travis Kelce in Star-Studded Wedding at MSG

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding is surely not what you thought it would be—it’s even better.

After the couple tied the knot at Madison Square Garden July 3 in front of a star-studded guest list—including Adam Sandler who officiated the nuptials—wedding attendees shared deeper insight into what made the event so special.

“The ceremony was great, moving. Adam Sandler, funny and touching,” Good Morning America’s George Stephanopoulos shared in a statement to ABC News July 4. “Vows, everything you would hope for, real, vulnerable, serious and silly. Deeply loving. Who knew that a wedding in Madison Square Garden could be so intimate?”

But Stephanopoulos isn’t the only member of the GMA family who scored an invite to the event. After all, Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan also saw Swift make the whole place shimmer as she entered her wifey era.

Though the newlyweds opted for an arena as their wedding venue, Roberts insisted on the July 4 episode of GMA that “it really was intimate.”

The close-knit feel was also thanks to a little TLC from Swift and Kelce’s wedding planning team. Indeed, AMC CEO Adam Aron, who was also in attendance, broke down exactly what the vibe was like inside the massive space.

“It did not look like Madison Square Garden,” he wrote in a since-deleted X post. “Immediately upon entry, everything... floors, walls, ceilings... was draped in peach and white. Large blown up pictures of Taylor and Travis at each age, year by year from one year-old to late teenager-hood, were on display.”

“A small portion of MSG was cordoned off, devoid of any notion that that a basketball or hockey game ever shared that space,” he continued. “Somehow magically, someone created an outdoor garden at a lush countryside retreat. Everything draped off this time in green and white. Real flowers and I think artificial trees welcomed fifteen rows of maybe 75 or so chairs. They say there were around one thousand attendees, but surprisingly, it all felt intimate and small. Everything was close.”

As for how the bride and groom made their entrance?

“After some relaxing and mellow romantic songs played to settle the house, a few violins and cello ushered in the wedding party,” Aron said. “Headlined by handsome Travis in a white tux, and a jaw-dropping Taylor in a stunning white wedding dress with a long veiled train.”

Prior to their happy day, Swift and Kelce—who went public with their romance in September 2023—made it clear that they really do love love. After all, the couple attended the wedding of Kelce’s cousin Tanner Corum and his now-wife Samantha Peck in June 2025, as several of the fellow guests shared on social media, just months before the NFL star proposed.

Meanwhile, Swift has given the gift of her presence at several weddings over the years, including those of childhood friends Abigail Anderson and Britany Maack.

During the latter wedding, the Grammy winner shared some of her thoughts on love in her Maid of Honor speech.

“Real love doesn’t mess with your head,” she said, per a Vogue profile published in 2016. “Real love just is. Real love just endures. Real love maintains. Real love takes it page by page.”
