Deputy Prime Minister Ian Borg marked US Independence Day with a message celebrating the longstanding friendship between Malta and the United States.
Sharing the message on social media, Borg extended his warm wishes to the American people as they celebrated the Fourth of July.
“As we celebrate this historic occasion, I remain committed, as I have throughout my years in public service, to strengthening the enduring friendship between Malta and the United States and the bonds between our two peoples,” he wrote.
Borg ended the post by wishing Americans a “Happy Fourth of July!”
The message comes as the United States marks the anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, with celebrations taking place across the country and around the world.
