MOSCOW, July 5. /TASS/. Presidents of Russia and the United States Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump called the departure of a joint crew to the International Space Station (ISS) symbolical, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov told reporters.
"The symbolic nature of the launch of the joint Russian-American crew to the International Space Station from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in coming days was noted in the conversation," Ushakov said.
"This is a specific example evidencing that the two powers are interested in closely working together, and in the most different spheres," he added.
The mission start is scheduled for July 14.
