According to the Taytay Public Information Office (PIO), the municipality earned a score of 103 percent, describing the recognition as “another milestone in good governance.”

“This achievement reflects the collective efforts of the municipal government of Taytay under the leadership of Mayor Allan De Leon, the 13th Sangguniang Bayan, partner agencies, civil society organizations, and every stakeholder committed to building a safer, more inclusive, and compassionate municipality,” the PIO said in a Facebook post on July 2.
According to the PIO, the LCAT-VAWC Functionality Assessment is a comprehensive evaluation conducted by the DILG to measure the effectiveness of local committees in preventing and addressing human trafficking and all forms of violence against women and their children.

The assessment covers key governance indicators, including organizational effectiveness, policy implementation, strategic planning, budget allocation, interagency coordination, capacity-building initiatives, and the delivery of programs and services for vulnerable sectors.
The PIO said the recognition is more than a measure of institutional performance, describing it as a reaffirmation of the municipality’s commitment to safeguarding vulnerable sectors and fostering a community where women and children can live in safety, dignity, and hope. /mcm
