
LUCENA CITY — Police are investigating the discovery of a dead fetus at the sewage treatment facility of a condominium in Tagaytay City, Cavite, on Friday night, July 3.
In a report released Saturday, the Police Regional Office 4A said an employee of Cityland Condominium in Barangay San Jose discovered the fetus lodged in a sewage strainer in the building’s basement at around 6:59 p.m.
The report did not indicate the fetus’ sex or estimated gestational age.

Investigators believe the fetus may have been flushed through the condominium’s drainage system from one of the residential units.
Authorities are reviewing closed-circuit television footage and conducting further investigation to identify the person or persons responsible.
The fetus was turned over to a local funeral home for proper disposition. /mcm
