Former Fenerbahce striker, Serdar Dursun, has questioned whether Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, possesses the technical qualities required to succeed at Barcelona, despite acknowledging the Nigerian’s overall ability following another prolific season with Galatasaray, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
Osimhen finished the 2025/2026 campaign with 22 goals and eight assists across all competitions, playing a pivotal role as Galatasaray successfully defended their Super Lig title, form that has fuelled speculation over a potential move away from Turkey this summer, with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Chelsea all reportedly monitoring his situation.
Speaking on the Cup Diary programme on Spor Smart, Dursun argued that Osimhen’s style of play would not suit Barcelona’s system, citing concerns over his technical refinement.

“I don’t think Osimhen can play for Barcelona. Osimhen is a talented player, but he doesn’t have a clean technique,” Dursun said, as quoted by Fanatik.
The former Turkish international’s comments come amid reports linking Barcelona with a move for Argentine forward, Julian Alvarez, instead of the Nigerian striker, further fuelling uncertainty over Osimhen’s next destination.
With pre-season preparations for the new campaign approaching, the former Napoli forward is expected to provide clarity on his future in the coming weeks as interest in his signature continues to grow across Europe.
