“This brought the BOC’s total revenue surplus for the first half of 2026 to P11.478 billion, with cumulative collections reaching P491.748 billion, exceeding the January-to-June target of P480.270 billion by 2.4 percent,” BOC said in a statement on Sunday.
The BOC attributed this achievement to the stronger revenue collection, intensified border protection, digital transformation initiatives, and institutional reforms.
It also noted the collective contributions of its 17 collection districts, “supported by strengthened customs enforcement, enhanced trade facilitation, improved compliance measures, and the continued modernization of customs systems and processes.”
Furthermore, the BOC cited the Post-Clearance Audit Group (PCAG) for contributing P2.2 billion through its post-clearance audit operations.
The bureau said it was committed to sustaining this performance and achieving its P1 trillion revenue target for 2026. /apl
