
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY— Anti-narcotics operatives of Police Regional Office-10 (PRO-10) arrested two drug suspects and confiscated more than P107,000 worth of suspected shabu in two separate buy-bust operations in Bukidnon over a 24-hour period.
Capt. Leonila Vicente of the Kibawe municipal police station said their operatives, alongside the Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), apprehended a 25-year-old suspect known as “Totong” at 12:25 a.m. on Sunday, July 5.
“The buy-bust operation took place in Purok-4 in Barangay Palma, Kibawe. The operatives were able to seize 0.612 grams of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and a P1,000 bill,” Vicente said.

He added that the seized drugs are valued at more than P4,000.

About three hours earlier, at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, a larger drug haul was confiscated in Pangantucan town.
Units from the Bukidnon Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Intelligence, Pangantucan police, and the 2nd PMFC arrested alias “Junjun,” 32, in Barandias village.
Authorities confiscated 15.2 grams of suspected shabu (with an estimated standard drug price of P103,768), a P1,000 bill and a cigarette pack.
All confiscated pieces of evidence have been forwarded to the Bukidnon Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.

In his report to Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano, PRO-10 director, Col. Oliver Sotto Navales, Bukidnon police director, said that both suspects are currently in police custody.
They will face charges for the sale and possession of illegal drugs under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

“The community is encouraged to support the police and other law enforcement agencies and stay vigilant at all times in order to attain a peaceful and drug-free province,” Navales said. /apl
