
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP)’s tracker teams and warrant servers have been activated for Sen. Rodante Marcoleta, who is facing a non-bailable plunder case, according to PNP chief Police Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.
The Sandiganbayan’s Third Division issued an arrest warrant against Marcoleta in the non-bailable case on Monday morning.
In a press briefing on Monday, shortly before the warrant issuance was announced, Nartatez said the tracker teams and warrant servers “are activated 24 hours.”

“We’ll just issue the warrant and inform them: ‘Oh, this is to be arrested,’ then they will go,” Nartatez said.

On Friday, the Office of the Ombudsman filed a non-bailable plunder case against Marcoleta before the Sandiganbayan in connection with his alleged undeclared P75 million campaign donation.
The case against Marcoleta and his three co-accused—former Anakalusugan Rep. Mike Defensor and businessmen Aristotle Viray and Joseph Espiritu—was raffled to the Sandiganbayan’s Third Division. /mcm
