As they grow comfortable with each other while reuniting for their new series, Wilbert Ross believes Bea Binene is more than just “girlfriend material.”
Ross made the remarks at the recent media conference for their upcoming Viva One romantic comedy series “Love U Lots,” after they were asked what makes one another “partner material.”
“Definitely, si Bea, girlfriend material talaga. Sobrang maalaga. Very sweet. Very family-oriented. Siguro tataas pa nga sa wife material,” Ross said.

“Syempre, Wilbert is boyfriend material because he’s goal-oriented, meron siyang perspective of what he wants. Who wouldn’t want? Kailangan ‘yung may plano naman talaga. Hindi naman ‘puwedeng waiting in line lang,” she said.
After starring in the Viva One series “Golden Scenery of Tomorrow,” Ross and Binene are reuniting for the original eight-episode romantic-comedy “Love U Lots,” which premieres on July 24.

“May pressure po talaga. Golden Scenery of Tomorrow kasi may mga readers na, may mga fans na nag-aabang. Ito, something new na ino-offer namin. We’re not really sure kung magugustuhan nila o nasa taste ng mga tao yung story ng Love U Lots. So pressure po talaga. Hindi siya nawawala,” Ross said.
Binene said she feels pressure with every project but is equally excited because of the overwhelming support from fans.

“Kada proyekto naman iba siya talaga. It’s a different story, different project, different characters. Bukod sa kaba, yung ‘excitement nandun din. Nakikita ko ‘yung support online at sobrang excited din ang mga fans. Mas excited din akong mapanood nila kasi it’s such a very colorful world,” she said.
In “Love U Lots,” Binene plays Ysa, a gifted painter living with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), while Ross portrays Estong, a young man trying to rebuild his life after heartbreak and financial loss.
Binene said portraying a character with DID challenged her as an actress, particularly the quick transitions between Ysa’s different personalities.
“Exciting siya for me because it’s something new, something fresh. Mahirap kasi yung transitions ko when I change into different personalities, dapat seamless, so mabilis. Nakakapagod, actually,” she said.
The actress added that the production consulted advisers to ensure the condition would be portrayed respectfully.
“Of course, we did our research and we have advisers on set kasi it’s a real disorder. Ayaw naman namin maka-offend. Dito, people could somehow get to know what it is while at the same time enjoy the kilig, the romance,” she shared.

Ross, meanwhile, said audiences can expect a light and entertaining series despite its emotional themes.
“Cute ang story ng mga characters namin dito. Kwela ang flow ng story, very light and entertaining siya,” he said.
Director Victor Villanueva acknowledged the challenge of reuniting Ross and Binene after the success of “Golden Scenery of Tomorrow.”
“This is way different than the first and therein lies the challenge. We want to bring back the fans of Golden Scenery of Tomorrow but at the same time pull in new ones who want something new from Wilbert and Bea. I just hope people enjoy their new journey as a love team,” he said.
Joining Ross and Binene in the cast are Xia Vigor, Vito Quizon, Katya Santos, DJ Durano, Janno Gibbs, Migo Valid, and Candy Pangilinan.
