
MANILA, Philippines — Maynilad Water Services Inc. (Maynilad) will carry out scheduled maintenance activities in parts of Quezon City and Valenzuela City this week, with temporary water service interruptions expected in affected areas during overnight and early morning hours.
In a public advisory, the west zone water concessionaire said the activities are part of its regular maintenance program to keep its water distribution system “safe, reliable, and in good condition.”

In Quezon City, Maynilad will conduct overnight network diagnostics and leak localization from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the following schedules:

10 p.m. of July 6 to 6 a.m. of July 7: Barangays Bagbag, San Bartolome, and Talipapa, with work at Kingspoint.
10 p.m. of July 7 to 6 a.m. of July 8: Barangay Apolonio Samson, with work at Toctocan corner Malac.
10 p.m. of July 8 to 6 a.m. of July 9: Barangay Gulod, with work at Villareal corner Quirino Highway.
10 p.m. of July 9 to 6 a.m. of July 10: Barangay Gulod, with work at Nitang.
10 p.m. of July 10 to 6 a.m. of July 11: Barangay Sauyo, with work at Hummer Compound.
10 p.m. of July 11 to 6 a.m. of July 12: Barangays Bagbag, Nagkaisang Nayon, and San Bartolome, with work at Odelco corner Saint James and Rebisco.
10 p.m. of July 12 to 6 a.m. of July 13: Barangays Gulod and Sta. Monica, with work at Cresta Verde.
In Valenzuela City, network maintenance is scheduled in Barangays Gen. T. De Leon and Parada from July 6 to 10, between 12:01 a.m. and 4 a.m. daily. The work will cover Bernardino Street, Santulan Street, Gen. T. De Leon Road, De Guzman Street, and M. Delos Reyes Street.
Maynilad said the maintenance activities are generally limited to small areas and are scheduled during off-peak hours to reduce inconvenience to customers.
“Maynilad regularly carries out maintenance activities to keep our water distribution system in the West Zone safe, reliable, and in good condition,” the company said in its advisory.

Maynilad also issued reminders to affected customers on preparing for the temporary service interruptions and on what to do once water service is restored.
“We advise affected customers to store enough water ahead of the scheduled interruption. Once service is restored, let the water run briefly from your faucet until it clears.” /mr
