MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Rodante Marcoleta was taken to the Philippine National Police (PNP) General Hospital on Monday after complaining of chest pain and high blood pressure, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) chief Maj. Gen. Robert Alexander Morico said.
“Sen. Marcoleta complained of chest pain and had high blood pressure, that’s why we first brought him to the hospital,” said the CIDG chief in an ambush interview with reporters.
“After his medical assessment, whatever the PNP doctors say, we will also relay it to the Sandiganbayan,” Morico told reporters.
