No reaction from Meloni to Trump's latest attack says defence minister

Defence Minister Guido Crosetto said

Monday that, while "people come and go, relations with our

allies must remain" following US President Donald Trump's latest

attack on Premier Giorgia Meloni.

Crosetto told Sky Tg24 that Meloni had "no reaction" to the

fresh attack. in which Trump posted a photo of the premier

looking at him on his Truth social media platform with

"Restraining Order Needed" written above.

"The fundamental thing is to maintain relations with a

fundamental ally like the USA," he said.

Crosetto was among the top Italian officials to attend an event

at the US ambassador's residence in Rome last week to celebrate

Independence Day despite Trump's recent attacks on the premier.
