Allen Ansay says courtship with Sofia Pablo ended months ago

Allen Ansay confirmed that he is no longer courting fellow Sparkle star Sofia Pablo since March following reports of their falling-out.

Ansay addressed the issue through a comment on a viral TikTok video that compared his social media posts with Pablo’s, who has recently been seen with fellow “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” housemate Iñigo Jose.

“Gusto ko lang po linawin na okay po kami ni Sofia. Wala pong iniwan, nagpaasa, o nang-bale-wala sa kahit kanino,” Ansay replied in the comments section.

The 22-year-old actor said that he has stopped courting the Kapuso actress months ago, but claimed that they remain on good terms despite their thwarted romantic relationship.

“Para na rin po sa tamang impormasyon, matagal na pong hindi naipagpatuloy ang panliligaw ko kay Sofia noong March pa po,” he said. “Maayos po naming nirerespeto ang isa’t isa, at nagbago lamang ang direksyon ng aming mga priorities lalo na po sa trabaho.”

Ansay also appealed to fans to stop blaming Pablo over the issue, explaining that it was a mutual decision not to publicly discuss the matter.

“Sana po ay tigilan na natin ang pagpapakalat ng mga maling kuwento o false narratives tungkol kay Sofia. Wala po siyang ginawang masama,” he said.

Ansay and Pablo, collectively known by fans as “Team Jolly,” have long been linked after working together in several GMA projects.

Although they never confirmed being in a romantic relationship, Ansay had openly admitted to courting Pablo since 2020, while the actress previously described their bond as a “special friendship.” The pair also spent Valentine’s Day together at the beach earlier this year.

Their relationship drew renewed attention during Pablo’s stay in “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0,” last year especially after Jose admitted developing feelings for the actress.

Pablo became emotional inside the house as she recalled promising Ansay that she would not entertain anyone else during her time on the reality show. After her eviction, Ansay welcomed her outside the house and said he appreciated her loyalty.
