The sixth edition of the Monsoon Printmaking Workshop 2026 concluded after bringing together emerging artists for an intensive four-day exploration of printmaking techniques in Lalitpur.
Organised by Bindu Bindu – Bindu Space for Artists, the workshop was held from July 2 to 5 (Asar 18–21, 2083) at Lalitpur Metropolitan City Ward No. 10, Kupondole. The event received significant support from Lalitpur Metropolitan City Ward No. 10, Himalayan Tattoo Summit, Universal Art Collective, Sumangala Darshandhari, Bijendra Shrestha and Aakrosh Thapa.
The workshop featured more than 20 participants from diverse artistic backgrounds, providing them with an opportunity to develop their technical skills and experiment with various printmaking processes under a collaborative learning environment. Participants included Aman Maharjan, Amir Shakya, Ahil Maharjan, Anush Khaju,, Binod Limbu, Bishal Manandhar, Bishal Thami, Deepa Khanal, Deeprose Gurung, Jenney Ghale, Karma Tashi Gurung, Keshab Raj Khanal, Manorma Khatri, Mansi Bhatt, Monikaa Shrestha, Niharika Magar, Prashamsha Shakya, Prithvi Shrestha, Rajan Maharjan, Sandhya Silwal, Siddhi Kushwaha, Sita Malla Thakuri, Sujan Theeng, and Suyog Lama.
The annual workshop aims to promote printmaking as a creative medium by encouraging knowledge sharing, artistic experimentation and networking among artists. Organisers said the initiative continues to strengthen Nepal’s contemporary printmaking community while creating opportunities for emerging practitioners to learn from experienced artists and peers.
