Ferragudo’s popular Beach Fest returns to Praia Grande from July 10 to 12, bringing three days of free live music, DJs and family-friendly entertainment to one of the Algarve’s most picturesque beach settings.
Now in its 16th edition, the festival is co-organised by the Ferragudo Parish Council and promoted by Club Nau, with the support of Lagoa Municipality.
Over the past 15 years, Beach Fest has established itself as one of the Algarve’s best-known summer events, attracting both residents and visitors with its relaxed atmosphere, beachfront location and focus on showcasing local talent.
Organisers say the festival remains true to its original concept by offering free admission and creating an inclusive event that is open to all generations.
This year’s line-up once again shines a spotlight on Algarve musicians and performers. Confirmed acts include Jig Saw Gig, Nicole Silver, The Flashback Brothers, Marsha Jam, The Munchies, Os Compotas, The Protons, Daddy Jack, Gil, Tomaz and Toby One, alongside a selection of DJs who will keep the music going throughout the three-day event.
Beyond the live performances, Beach Fest has built a reputation for its welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, combining music, socialising and the natural beauty of Praia Grande to create what organisers describe as an authentic Algarve summer experience.
With large crowds expected over the weekend, organisers are encouraging festival-goers to use alternative transport wherever possible. Visitors are advised to travel by taxi or ride-hailing services (TVDE), while those coming from Portimão can also use the Taxi Ferry service across the Arade River to avoid traffic and parking difficulties.
The Ferragudo Parish Council said it is proud to continue supporting an initiative that promotes local culture, showcases regional artists and strengthens the village’s identity as one of the Algarve’s leading summer destinations.
