Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to accelerating development across Northern Adamawa, assuring residents of Michika Local Government Area that more impactful projects will be executed to improve their socio-economic well-being.
The Governor gave the assurance during a working visit to the area, where he inspected ongoing strategic projects and reiterated his administration’s resolve to expand critical infrastructure, strengthen public institutions, and improve the quality of life of the people.
One of the major projects inspected was the ongoing construction of the 17.5-kilometre Mararaban Garta–Kamale Road, a strategic infrastructure project expected to improve connectivity, facilitate commerce, and stimulate economic activities within the area.
Governor Fintiri also commissioned a newly completed administrative block at the Adamawa State College of Health Technology, Michika. The facility is expected to provide a more conducive working environment for staff and enhance administrative efficiency at the institution.

Conducting the Governor round the projects, the Provost of the College, Dr. Suleiman Yakubu, expressed appreciation to the state government for its sustained investment in the institution. He described the numerous interventions as a major boost to the growth of the college and healthcare education in the state.
During the visit, Governor Fintiri, accompanied by the APC governorship candidate, Ahmed Tijjani Galadima, paid a courtesy visit to the Mbege Ka Michika, His Royal Majesty Professor Bulus Gadiga.
The Governor commended the royal father for his steadfast commitment to peace, unity, and harmonious coexistence in the chiefdom, while seeking his royal blessings and support for his senatorial aspiration.
In his response, the Mbege Ka Michika applauded Governor Fintiri for the remarkable improvement in security across Michika and neighbouring communities. He urged the Governor to sustain efforts toward promoting peace, strengthening security, and expanding development projects. The traditional ruler also described the establishment of the College of Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Gulak as a landmark investment in youth empowerment and human capital development.
As part of activities during the visit, Governor Fintiri, alongside the Mbege Ka Michika, performed a symbolic tree-planting exercise to promote afforestation and environmental sustainability in the chiefdom. The initiative, a collaborative effort between the Michika Chiefdom and ACReSAL, is aimed at restoring the environment, combating deforestation, and preserving the ecosystem for future generations.
Addressing a stakeholders’ meeting attended by party leaders and community representatives, the Governor urged the people of Michika to sustain their support for the administration, assuring them that the government would continue to implement projects that transform lives and create greater opportunities for future generations.
He also called for unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing cohesion as essential to sustainable development and effective democratic governance. Presenting the party’s governorship candidate, Ahmed Tijjani Galadima, to stakeholders, Governor Fintiri described him as a competent, dependable, and experienced leader capable of consolidating on the administration’s achievements. He urged the people of Michika and Adamawa State to vote massively for all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections, stressing that continuity remains the surest path to sustained development.
In his remarks, Ahmed Tijjani Galadima commended Governor Fintiri for executing transformative projects across Adamawa State and pledged to build on the administration’s achievements if elected Governor.
Also speaking, the Adamawa State Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Hamza Bello Madagali, thanked the people of Michika for their steadfast support for the party. He urged eligible voters to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and vote for all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections, while assuring Governor Fintiri of the party’s unwavering support for his senatorial ambition.
Goodwill messages were delivered by the APC Chairman in Michika Local Government Area and other party leaders, while supporters expressed appreciation for the developmental strides of the Fintiri administration and pledged their continued support for the APC.
