Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Wedding Guest Who Caught the Bouquet Revealed
Lena Dunham let the crowd hear one more joke—and she doesn’t care if it made anyone laugh until they cry.
After there were whispers that the Girls alum made a crass joke about Travis Kelce’s profession during his wedding to Taylor Swift on July 3, Dunham diffused the tension before the talking turned to screams.
“Available going forward for weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, and sweet sixteens (gay ones),” Dunham quipped in a July 5 Instagram post featuring her husband Luis Felber and her longtime producing partner and work husband Michael P. Cohen. “I love both my husbands and I love love.”
As for the joke in question, according to the Daily Mail, Dunham was rumored to have made an off-color reference to Kelce’s sport during the white-veil occasion, cracking, “American football is just straight guys reenacting gay porn.”
It was a bold joke given the crowd. In addition to Swift's guy on the Chiefs, the room was full of current and former NFL pros including Patrick Mahomes, George Kittle, Kyle Juszczyk, Tom Brady and, of course, the best man Jason Kelce.
But whatever Dunham said was all in good fun, as she has previously shared her newfound love for the Kansas City Chiefs—all thanks to Swift and Kelce.
"She’s in her sports era," Dunham wrote in the caption of a December 2025 Instagram post, donning Chiefs gear while watching a game at Arrowhead Stadium with Swift. "Love you @killatrav."

In fact, while the Famesick author admitted that she was not that kind of girl to get into sports, she adopted the Chiefs as her “first home team” despite the fact that she’s “a New Yorker who lives in London.”
And Dunham isn’t the only celeb to have spoken at the star-studded nuptials, which housed nearly 1,000 guests inside Madison Square Garden. Adam Sandler, who officiated the ceremony, gave the newlyweds some sage advice as they entered their new fairytale.
"He told them to keep kissing," Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid revealed at a Salt Lake City event July 5, per The Deseret News. "So, in its simplest form, that's a good thing."
