Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State attended the maiden State House Press Corps Presidential Dinner held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The governor joined other dignitaries at the event where President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was decorated as the Grand Patron of the State House Press Corps.
The dinner was organised to strengthen engagement between journalists and senior government officials, recognise excellence in presidential reporting and provide an informal platform for interaction between the media and government officials.
Speaking at the event, President Tinubu urged journalists to uphold professionalism, accuracy and responsibility in their reporting, describing the media as a critical partner in nation-building and democratic governance.

He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to press freedom and freedom of expression as guaranteed by the Constitution.
The event was attended by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; ministers of Finance, Education, Health, Agriculture and Information, as well as the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack.
