Carmen Villain Announces New Album Memoria

Carmen Villain has announced a new album. The ambient dub producer and clarinetist will release Memoria on September 4 via Smalltown Supersound. She’s also shared the album’s first single. Listen to “Entre Nosotros” below.

Villain’s follow-up to 2022’s Only Love From Now On, Memoria borrows its title from Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s 2021 film. She also drew inspiration from pioneering electronic composer Pauline Oliveros’ “writings on internally recalled sounds,” according to press materials.
