Lena Dunham Cheekily Responds to Rumors About Her Speech at Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce's Wedding

Gracie Abrams is remembering a boy Taylor Swift loved before.

After Swift tied the knot with Travis Kelce in a star-studded Madison Square Garden ceremony July 3, her longtime friend and collaborator shared what appeared to be her wedding look in a photo dump that also included Swift’s ex Joe Alwyn.

Abrams’ post, shared to Instagram July 5, included several photos of her donning a grand red and pink sparkly gown with a slicked back hairstyle, similar to the one she was seen sporting in a getaway car from Swift’s wedding venue July 3.

The post was not fully dedicated to Swift’s white veil occasion, however. Abrams also shared several throwback photos of herself from growing up, as well as the covers for her latest singles “Hit the Wall” and “Look at My Life,” off her forthcoming album Daughter From Hell.

But it was a slyly placed screengrab from The Favourite that really raised fans’ eyebrows. While Alwyn’s face is not shown in the photo that Abrams included, it is from an iconic scene from the 2018 film he shot alongside Emma Stone.

In the clip, Alwyn launches himself at Stone—who also attended Swift and Kelce’s nuptials—while their characters playfully fight in the woods.

Naturally, fans had to question…? Abrams’ choice in photos.

“The screen capture of Joe Alwyn from The Favourite in the same carousel as the outfit you wore to Taylor Swift’s wedding,” one fan wrote in the comments, “is crazyyyyy (I say this with love).”

Another was more direct to Abrams—who has been dating Alwyn’s pal Paul Mescal since 2024—adding, “Why would you include a photo of Joe?”

Meanwhile, another fan pointed out that Alwyn—who debuted a romance with Sarah Pidgeon last month—liked the post.

“Joe liking this post knowing that the first pic was Gracie's outfit was from Taylor’s wedding,” the commenter noted. “The lore.”

Indeed, Alwyn—whom the singer dated from 2017 to 2023—might have Swift’s past, but Kelce’s got her. After all, she admitted time and again that no one’s ever had her quite like Kelce.

“He’s just my favorite person that I’ve ever met,” Swift admitted during an October appearance on The Tonight Show. “The fact that this is the person that I get to hang out with every day forever, that’s the whole thing of it.”
