
The Olubadan Advisory Council has approved the burial arrangements for the late Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Olubunmi Isioye-Dada.
The approval was announced in a statement on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Gbenga Ayoade, after the council’s meeting at the Olubadan Palace, Oke-Aremo, Ibadan.
The statement read, “The burial ceremony will take place on August 27 and 28, 2026, respectively, at his residence in Bodija, Ibadan.

“Until his death on June 12, 2026, Oba Isioye was the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland; he was an active and dedicated member of Olubadan-in-Council.
“May his gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace.”
The PUNCH reports that the monarch died after a brief illness in June 2026.
