CEBU CITY, Philippines— Giving back on his birthday.
Ryan Bang celebrated his birthday last June 16, and in his recently uploaded vlog, he shared how his special day went.
It started with him rehearsing for his production number for It’s Showtime, followed by the birthday well-wishes from his co-hosts.
After which, Bang shared that he wanted to make this birthday extra special, and that is by giving what he has saved since he started in the noontime show up to June this year.

“Nagstart ako ng Showtime 2010, August 16. Yun yung first day ko bilang hurado, dapat dalawang linggo lang ako sa Showtime. Sabi sa’kin ng nanay ko at syempre tatay ko, “Anak, magipon ka lage ka magipon kahit maliit,” he shared.
(I started in Showtime 2010, August 16. That is my first day as a judge, it was supposed to be only for two weeks on Showtime. My nanay told me and, of course, my tatay, ‘Son, you save, you save even if it’s only a small amount.)
A little bit embarrassed in sharing this part of his life, Bang continued that he saved P 1,000 per month since then, which served as his savings.

His total savings reached P190,000, and he added his profit from his community market that reached P 10,000.
And with this, he wanted to give his total savings of P200,000 to the people he treats as his family here in the Philippines.
His personal assistant, Joyce, who has been with him for five years, received half of the amount while his driver of 13 years, Ronald, got the other half.

Bang said that it seems right to give the two of them what he has saved over the years because they have been with him through his ups and downs.
And on top of that, he also shared that he had donated to a local school in Mindanao following the strong quake that hit the province last June.
