Bengaluru–Mysuru Expressway: Dashcam captures alleged road rage attack on family

A family travelling in a Maruti Suzuki Alto was allegedly assaulted after their vehicle was intercepted by a group of men.

A family travelling on the Maddur stretch of the Bengaluru–Mysuru Expressway was allegedly attacked by a group of men in a suspected road-rage incident late Sunday.

The assault, captured on a dashcam of a passing vehicle, has since gone viral on social media, raising concerns over commuter safety on the expressway.

The 52-second video shows a Maruti Suzuki Alto moving alongside other vehicles before stopping on the road. Shortly after, a group of men is seen surrounding the car, opening the driver’s door, and assaulting the person behind the wheel.

The vehicle reportedly had a family of four, including a man, a woman, children and an elderly woman. The footage shows the woman trying to intervene as the assault takes place, even as others try to stop the attack.

The police have not yet issued a statement on the incident, and it is unclear whether the family has filed a complaint.
