PAL said the additional Japan flights will take effect from Oct. 25 until March 27, 2027, except for the Manila-Sapporo route, whose expanded schedule will run from Nov. 24 to Feb. 27.
PAL president Richard Nuttall said the expanded services aim to meet growing travel demand during the winter season.
“The winter season is one of the most popular times of the year for Filipinos visiting Japan, while it is also a peak period for Japanese travelers seeking the Philippines’ tropical destinations,” he said.
“By adding more flights, we are giving our customers greater flexibility during these high-demand months while strengthening tourism, business and cultural exchanges between our two countries,” he added.

Nuttall said the additional Japan flights would also provide more cargo capacity, thus supporting trade between the Philippines and Japan.
Apart from Japan, PAL will add flights to Melbourne and Perth during the Holidays. In a bid to increase seat capacity, the flagship carrier will deploy larger aircraft on selected Sydney and Brisbane flights.
