Yogyakarta (ANTARA) - InJourney Destination Management (IDM) is adjusting operational services at Prambanan Temple Tourism Park ahead of the state visit by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Prabowo Subianto on July 8, 2026.
"Tourist access will remain open to the Sewu Temple, Lumbung Temple, Bubrah Temple, and Siwa Field on July 7 and 8, 2026," IDM Commercial Director Gistang Panutur informed on Tuesday.
He noted that tourist entry through the Sewu Temple Gate in Klaten, Central Java, and tickets purchased online for those dates remain valid, with adjustments to the visiting area and additional facilities to provide added value for visitors.
"Meanwhile, on-site ticket purchases are only valid until 3:00 p.m.," he continued.
Panutur said the operational adjustments will not affect the company's commitment to delivering a memorable heritage experience for visitors.
"Visitors can still experience the area's rich cultural and historical heritage while enjoying a safe and comfortable visit," he ensured.
His office also aims to keep the visitor experience at Sewu Temple, Bubrah Temple, and Lumbung Temple engaging and meaningful while prioritizing visitor safety and comfort.
He stated that these operational adjustments demonstrate IDM's support for the implementation of this state agenda, which holds strategic significance for the bilateral relationship between Indonesia and India.
"As the destination manager, we fully support this state agenda through planned operational adjustments so the entire series of state activities can proceed safely, comfortably, and impressively," he continued.
On Tuesday, President Prabowo and PM Modi conveyed agreement on the restoration and conservation of the Prambanan Temple Complex and have designated 2026–2027 as the Tagore-Dewantara Year to strengthen cultural diplomacy between the two countries.
The restoration will be carried out through a collaboration between the Indonesian Government and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
