Taylor Swift's Wedding Dress Designer Shares What It Was Like Working With Her, Travis Kelce
It was rare, but Robert Pattinson couldn’t be there.
After Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tied the knot in a star-studded Madison Square Garden ceremony July 3, the Twilight alum detailed why he missed the party, despite his longtime partner Suki Waterhouse showing out.
“I was working,” Pattinson told Entertainment Tonight July 6, “I was shooting Batman this morning. Very busy.”
But The Odyssey actor—dad to a 2-year-old daughter with his longtime girlfriend—was disappointed to hear the rumor that Kelce and Swift were handing out raffle prizes, which has been speculated to have included designer handbags and even a vintage luxury car.
“They were giving away lots of stuff?” Pattinson asked. “What did I get?”
While Pattinson missed the fun, Waterhouse had locked in her RSVP even before the venue or date were confirmed.
“I’m gonna go to Taylor’s wedding,” Waterhouse revealed to Variety in May when sharing insight into planning her own nuptials to Pattinson, “and maybe I’ll get some inspiration.”
And for Waterhouse, it was one for the money and two for the show—as she showed off her jaw-dropping silver sequined look on Instagram in photos alongside King Princess (real name Mikaela Mullaney Straus.)
Meanwhile, Pattinson was one of the very few stars who missed out on Kelce and Swift’s white veil occasion. After all, the newlyweds packed 1,000 of their closest friends and family into the New York City venue to see them marry in a ceremony officiated by Adam Sandler.
Trust, the wedding might have been packed, but it wasn’t full of horses and rodeo clowns.

“It was as intimate as it possibly could be given it was Madison Square Garden,” Good Morning America anchor George Stephanopoulos, who attended the wedding, shared in a July 4 broadcast. “It was really this garden inside the Garden, which was so beautiful. It's hard to imagine a place that big, and a wedding with such stars, could feel so personal and so intimate.”
Indeed, co-anchor Robin Roberts added that despite the A-list guest list—Emma Stone, Sabrina Carpenter, Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss were also among the guests—it felt remarkably normal.
As she put it, “It really was like any wedding you'd attend."
