Frankie Grande Praises Sister Ariana Grande For Living Her Dream in 'Wicked'
Frankie Grande's Titanique performance will go on and on.
The actor shared an update on his health after an onstage mishap during the Broadway parody of Titanic, in which his character Captain Victor Garber tossed the ship's bright pink wheel into the air.
"Serving face, literally," Grande wrote on his Instagram July 5. "In Thursday's showstopper moment, I launched the wheel into the air… and my nose caught it before my hands did!"
"Turns out, being gay doesn't give me catching superpowers," he quipped. "So, I gave myself a little 'ouchie' (okay, maybe a concussion)."
The 43-year-old—who also plays Nintendo's Luigi in the Céline Dion jukebox musical—ultimately had to drop an anchor for three days before sailing back onstage.
Grande, Ariana Grande's older brother, confirmed he was ready to deal with that Iceberg B--ch on July 6, writing on his Instagram Stories, "Victor Garber back and reporting for duty!"
The Big Brother alum—who previously starred in Titanique during its Off-Broadway run from 2022 to 2025 before returning for its debut on the Great White Way in March—proved he'll do whatever it takes to continue performing.
In fact, it was full steam ahead when it came to recovering from cervical spinal surgery he underwent three months before the curtain went up.
"Building my body back up to the ability to do this show while also rehearsing this show—it was exhausting," Grande told E! News ahead of the first preview. "I'm really grateful to have been able to gain my strength back. When you watch the show, you're going to have no idea that I had spinal surgery."

He shared a glimpse into his health journey on Instagram in December, noting that the surgery was to alleviate pressure on the nerves of his neck that were causing pain and neurological symptoms.
"The procedure went exactly as expected, no surprises, no drama (for once), just very precise work by an incredible medical team," he wrote. "I'm sore, I'm tired, but I'm safe, I'm relieved, and I'm already feeling hopeful. This was a necessary step so I can get back on my feet, back on stage, and back to living fully without pain running the show."
