Ekaterinburg, Rusia (ANTARA) - The Industry Ministry is expanding access for investors and businesses across the Eurasian region to explore investment and industrial partnership opportunities in Indonesia through the country's participation as the Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026.
The event, taking place in Yekaterinburg, Russia, from July 6–9, 2026, serves as a platform to introduce the New National Industrialization Strategy (SBIN), which outlines Indonesia's new direction for industrial development.
In Yekaterinburg, Russia, on Tuesday, Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita emphasized that Indonesia not only offers significant market potential but also provides a clear and measurable industrial development roadmap for investors.
"Through the New National Industrialization Strategy, Indonesia is building a stronger, more modern, and more sustainable industrial foundation. We are creating broad opportunities for international partnerships that can generate quality investment, technology transfer, and increase national industrial capacity," he said.
He said SBIN is the Ministry of Industry's response to the increasingly rapid changes in the global economy, from accelerated digitalization and energy transition to shifts in the global supply chain.
The strategy also serves as a roadmap toward the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision, aligned with President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita agenda, while guiding industrialization that is independent, competitive, and sustainable.
Through SBIN, the government is pursuing four strategic priorities that open up collaboration opportunities for Eurasian investors: strengthening natural resource-based value-added manufacturing production, mastering industrial technology through Making Indonesia 4.0, green industrialization, and developing industrial human resources.
Furthermore, Tri Supondy, Director General of Regional Resilience and International Industrial Access (KPAII) at the Ministry of Industry, stated that Indonesia's participation in INNOPROM 2026 is a strategic momentum to strengthen Indonesia's position as a long-term industrial partner for the Eurasian region.
"The main objective of Indonesia's participation in INNOPROM 2026 is to strengthen Indonesia's position as a long-term industrial partner for the Eurasian region. At this exhibition, Indonesia will introduce the SBIN, which will enable Indonesia to build a structured, transparent, and more open manufacturing ecosystem for international collaboration," he said.
He said Indonesia is participating in INNOPROM 2026 as Southeast Asia's largest manufacturing economy.
Indonesia's Manufacturing Value Added (MVA) has reached US$265 billion, ranking the country 13th globally.
As of August 2025, non-oil and gas manufacturing exports reached US$147.9 billion, or nearly 80 percent of total national exports.
This strong industrial base underpins Indonesia's participation in Yekaterinburg, bringing together more than 50 industry players ready to open concrete partnership opportunities for investors and Eurasian industry players.
At the forum, Indonesia offered four main cooperation opportunities. First, technology partnerships and technology transfer in the fields of industrial machinery, automation systems, petrochemicals, and materials through the metal, machinery, transportation equipment, and electronics (ILMATE) and chemical, pharmaceutical, and textile industries (IKFT) pavilions.
Second, direct investment opportunities in industrial areas that are ready to operate, supported by regulatory certainty through SBIN.
Third, the development of downstream supply chains for strategic commodities such as nickel, bauxite, copper, cobalt, and lithium, which require advanced processing technologies and materials engineering expertise.
Fourth, Collaboration in value-added agriculture and food industries offers opportunities for cooperation in food processing technology, logistics, and expanding distribution and market access.
According to him, through its status as an Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026, Indonesia not only showcases its industrial sector achievements but also offers a more targeted, measurable, and sustainable partnership framework.
Furthermore, with the support of SBIN, the event is expected to serve as a gateway for increased investment, technology transfer, and the strengthening of long-term industrial partnerships, further strengthening Indonesia's position in the global manufacturing value chain.
